We're so happy that you are thinking of coming to visit us here at Woodstock Massage Therapy.

Have a quick peruse through our bios to see who you think would be the right therapist for your needs. We each have our own individual treatment styles, and areas of special interest.

Because we are all unique, there should be a therapist onsite that can help you reach your goals. And ... (just so you know) if you come to one of us and we feel like one of our other team members is better suited to help you with a specific condition, we have no problem suggesting a referral (we're cool like that ... no drama or competition here)!

Lindsay Van Asseldonk, RMT., CLT.
Owner, Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Lymphedema Therapist

Hi ya! I'm Lindsay (I own the business). I've been an RMT since 2007.

I can honestly say I never thought I'd grow up to be an RMT (I wanted to be a teacher), but I'm so grateful that I fell into this profession. I absolutely LOVE it, and can't picture myself doing anything else.

I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy in Cambridge, ON., and I also have a B.A. in Anthropology from Western University (but back in my day we called it UWO ... am I dating myself yet?)

If I had to try and describe my treatment style, I would say that it is mellow, and on the more gentle side of things. If you're coming to see me because you're in pain, the LAST thing I want to do is cause you more pain (I DON'T subscribe to the no pain, no gain philosophy)! However, I'm not afraid of doing specific work and "getting in there" when it's appropriate.

That being said, if you're looking for someone to 'beat you up' I'm probably not the therapist for you.

Over the last half of my career, I've been focusing a lot of my training on Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Lymphedema Management. Not only do I use this technique in the treatment of Lymphedema, I have also had success using it for fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and other persistent pain conditions.

Some might say I'm a lifelong student. It is rare that I don't have plans to attend some sort of course or training. I've been fortunate enough to travel around North America studying lymphatic drainage with the Chikly Institute and the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. In 2016 I received certification in the Vodder Method of MLD and complete decongestive therapy.

In what little spare time I do have (running a business is time consuming... but I LOVE IT), I enjoy traveling, eating (chocolate and cookies are my vices), hanging out with my pup, and trying to stay active. I will admit I love a good Netflix binge, so come prepared with recommendations!

See you on the table!

Pamela Tabor, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist

Hi there! I'm Pam and I've been an RMT since June 2006. I graduated from Sir Sandford Fleming College in Peterborough, ON. Since graduating, I have been practicing in Woodstock. I started out working in a clinic setting and then after a few years decided to work from home while starting my family.

I have two kids, Nolan and Addison. I worked from home for several years and then decided to get back into a clinic setting working with other RMT's again, and I have been so happy with the decision to join the team at Woodstock Massage Therapy!

Having gone through two pregnancies myself, I know what demands pregnancy can place on a woman's body. I have taken additional training in prenatal massage and enjoy working with my pregnant clients to help relieve some of the tension and discomfort women often feel throughout their pregnancies.

I have also taken additional training in infant massage and enjoy teaching this to parents to do daily massage at home. I usually have you bring baby in and I do some massage, while teaching you how to do at home massage for a great way to bond with your baby. There are a lot of benefits to infant massage, just google it and check them out!

I truly enjoy all aspects of massage therapy from relaxation to treatment of chronic pain or injuries. I will work with you to develop a treatment plan and help you to achieve your health and well-being goals.

I am committed to attend continuing education courses to keep up to date on skills and knowledge in the massage therapy world. I look forward to learning new skills to add to my knowledge base and offer different options for my clients.

Kristen Krygsman, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist

Hey! I'm Kristen. I graduated from Fanshawe College in 2019, and I'm SUPER excited to start my career at Woodstock Massage Therapy.

I never would've thought I'd become an RMT. In high school, I wanted to become a Paramedic. But, I am so thankful I chose this career path, because nothing makes me happier than helping a client feel better.

My treatment style tends to be a bit deeper, but always within your comfort level. I like to take a more therapeutic approach to my treatments, so if you're suffering from any muscular pain, or injuries I’d be more than happy to help.

That being said, I also enjoy providing lighter, more relaxing treatments for anyone who is looking to unwind after a busy day.

Outside of work, I like to spend time outdoors playing sports, going hiking, or relaxing by the water. My favourite season is fall, and my favourite food is carrot cake. I also really LOVE any kind of music, so feel free to share some of your favourites!

Charity Piper, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist

Hello there! My name is Charity Piper. I have been a Massage Therapist since 2000, I graduated from Alexandrian Institute out of Hamilton. I traveled out to Alberta to gain knowledge and experience in the Resort life. There I was trained in all spa amenities. I came back to Ontario a year later with enthusiasm to open my own practice. I was self- employed in my own clinic for 2 years where I had to learn the truth behind running your own clinic and the hard long hours that are needed to make it successful.

I was then offered had an amazing opportunity to work at the University of Guelph in the Health and Performance Center. I had worked closely with the physical therapist, chiropractors, and pysio-therapists in the center and grew as a person and a therapist immensely. I also worked at Pure NV spa for 14 years where I met and built long term clientele, and friendships. I also was a part of the Massage team at Mohawk College for 5 years; in that time I had many opportunities to keep my education fresh which has allowed me to feel better about the services I provide to clients and apply my current knowledge.

I had some experience to teach students in a Professor position, along with a Technologist position where I supervised labs, outreaches and clinics. I enjoyed the atmosphere and excitement that Mohawk had to offer. The staff are truly dedicated to the students and their success. Being a part of the teaching staff at Mohawk I learned that I truly enjoyed what I could offer with my experience in the field along with pushing myself to re-educate and stay current with Techniques and Assessments which enhanced my overall treatments. That is when I decided to become a full time Instructor at Westervelt College.

Westervelt has been a tremendous learning experience that I have enjoyed considerably. Because of my background I enjoy many styles of therapy such as relaxation or a deep massage treatment and I am readily available for all. I enjoy working on aliments and seeing the progress it can bring.

In my personal time I enjoy anything outdoors, from hiking to biking to kayaking. I love being active at the gym as well… saying that I love a NETFLIX binge day. I have two amazing pups a Bernese Mountain dog and a Siberian Husky. They keep me and my family busy.
